Interface providing capability for disassembling machine code.

disassembleCompiledCode

default String disassembleCompiledCode(CodeCacheProvider codeCache,
                                       CompilationResult compResult)

Gets a textual disassembly of a given compilation result.

Parameters:

codeCache - the object used for code code installation

compResult - a compilation result

Returns:

a non-zero length string containing a disassembly of compResult or null it could not be disassembled

disassembleInstalledCode

default String disassembleInstalledCode(CodeCacheProvider codeCache,
                                        CompilationResult compResult,
                                        InstalledCode installedCode)

Gets a textual disassembly of a given installed code.

Parameters:

codeCache - the object used for code code installation

compResult - a compiled code that was installed to produce installedCode. This will be null if not available.

installedCode -

Returns:

a non-zero length string containing a disassembly of code or null if code is invalid or it could not be disassembled for some other reason

getName

String getName()

Gets the name denoting the format of the disassmembly return by this object.
